    Master Wang Xi’an is one of the current 19th generation successors to Chen Shi Taijiquan and one of the “Four Buddha Warriors” of Chenjiagou (Chen Village). Master Wang also is an advanced level wushu coach recognized by the highest governing bodies in People’s Republic of China. Subsequently, he is also the director at the Chenjiagou Martial Arts Academy, the vice-president and head coach of the Wen Xian Taiji Martial Arts School. His reputation as a teacher spans beyond simply martial arts, as he is also a highly respected professor at Henan Normal University and a guest lecturer/professor at Luoyang University.

    Grandmaster Wang Xian started learning Chen Shi Taijiquan in 1963 under the strict guidance of 18th generation successor Chen Zhaopi. Chen Zhaopi transmitted to Wang Xi’an all the knowledge of the Chen Shi Taijiquan system including: Old Frame First Form (Lao Jia Yilu), Old Frame Second Form Cannon Fist (Laojia Erlu Paocui), Five Step Push Hands (Wubu Tuishou), sword (Jian), broadsword (Dao), spear (Qiang), staff (Gun) etc. Master Wang Xi’an was also fortunate enough to study under 18th generation successor Chen Zhaokui, the son of famed 17th generation successor Chen Fake. Chen Fake had developed the Chen Shi New Frame system (Xinjia) while in Beijing and Master Chen Zhaokui transmitted this knowledge to Master Wang   Xi’an. This included: New Frame First Form (Xinjia Yilu), New Frame Second Form Cannon Fist (Xinjia Erlu Paocui) and advanced taiji joint-locking techniques (qin na).
 
    In 1982 Master Wang Xi’an participated in the All Chinese National Taiji Push Hands tournament and took home the championship. He repeated a similar feat in Harbin in 1985 at the All Chinese National Taiji Expert Invitational Tournament, again coming on top as the undisputed champion. For over several decades, Master Wang Xi’an has dedicated his life to the arduous study of Chen Shi Taijiquan whether in taiji theory, practical application and research. This dedicated study has allowed Master Wang Xi’ an to develop an unprecedented understanding of the essence of taijiquan and phenomenal martial skill, earning even the respect of 18th generation successor Feng Zhiqiang who has been quoted as saying “Master Wang Xi’an is one of the most outstanding of 19th generation successors of Chen Shi Taijiquan.”

     Master Wang Xi’an has students all over the world and has trained more than 50 international champions winning more than 100 championship titles. Since 1983, he has traveled extensively to promote Chen Shi Taijiquan including such nations as: Japan, France, Holland, Spain, United States, Switzerland and many more. In each of these countries he has established taiji research associations and training centers to further promote and develop Chen Shi Taijiquan outside of   China. Within China, he was bestowed the title of honourary chairman of the Hong Kong Taiji & Qigong Society as well as establishing research associations in Shenzhen, Zhuhai, Shandong, Wenzhou, Hebei (Yongnian), Nanjing, Hangzhou, Gulin, Luoyang, Zhengzhou and Jiazuo. Master Wang Xi’an has played an integral role in being an ambassador in the promotion and internationalization of Chen Shi Taijiquan. While teaching in France, Master Wang Xi’an had the honour of meeting with French President Jacques Chirac and was granted permanent honourary citizenship. In Japan, Master Wang Xi’an was invited by Prince Tomohito of Mikasa, younger brother to Japanese Emperor Akihito, to be a guest at the imperial palace to demonstrate and teach Chen Shi Taijiquan and was subsequently made a permanent honourary citizen of the city of Osaka. In the United States Master Wang Xi’an was praised on the news as the “International King of Taijiquan”. Furthermore he was invited by the Spanish government to give lessons to Spanish citizens, to which more than 500 people attended.
 
    To further promote Chen Shi Taijiquan, Master Wang Xi’an has published many books on Chen Shi Taijiquan including “The Push Hand Techniques of Chen Shi Taijiquan”, “ The Secret Combat Applications of Chen Shi Taijiquan Old Frame” and “Chen Shi Taijiquan: Old Frame First Form”. These works have been translated into French and have been sold internationally. Master Wang Xi’an in collaboration with the Japanese also produced a set of videos in which he personally demonstrates Chen Shi Taijiquan. These include “The Mystic Art of Taiji” and “Taiji is Excellent”.

    The hard work, dedication and the accomplishments of Master Wang Xi’an have earned him the title as one of “China’s most talented persons of the Century” as well as earning him a spot in ""Chinese Expert Dictionary" and “The Compilation of Important Chinese People”.
